So I stumbled Jefferey Archers book published in 2011, I admit its quite an old book.

I kind of have mixed feelings about the book because of the repetition in the book, you find yourself reading the same information from three different people, which was kind of a drag.

The book centers Harry Clifton, a boy in a City called Bristol in England.  Harry has questions about his father who mysteriously disappeared while working at the dorks. Harry who comes from a disadvantaged background is saved by his talent to sing. His voice helps him to get a scholarship to study at St. Bede’s school where he has a chance to uncover the truth about his father’s disappearance. Harry becomes friends with Giles Barrington whose father has knowledge about what happened to Harry’s father.

Not only does he know about the disappearance, we also find out that Mr Barrington is Maisie Clifton’s [Harry’s mom] first lover. Mr. Barrington has evil plans for Harry but fortunately enough for little Harry his talent and his intelligence always seems to be working in his favour at the fancy St. Bede school.

Archer throws in a twist when he reveals secrets that could change Harry life for good. We find out that Harry could be Mr. Barrington’s first-born son.

The book is an interesting read but requires patience to finish.
